Happy Birthday to me

So August 9, 2008 was my birthday and all Blizzard gave me was a key to their Beta. After a 4 hour download I discovered my laptop did not have the 7+ GB hardrive space needed for the install. I then had to download again onto my PC and this time it took 16 hours to download. So sometime the next day I started the install and it was another 3 hours of updates before i was able to finally launch WotLK. It was recommended that I copy a character from my account that was at least level 68. As my highest toon right now is level 62, I opted to create a Blood Elf Death Knight named Xand. Here is the character creation page......




You start out in a floating city called Acherus, high above the Eastern Plaguelands and the Lich King is the first quest giver you come into contact with.


After that you are sent deeper into the city for some basic quests that help you to get to know the layout. You also learn runeforging and forge your first rune weapon.
